Why You Should Co-locate With Your Development Team

I used to love my cube at Knovation. It was comfortable and secluded, held all of my belongings, and gave off that “don’t bother me I’m busy” vibe. For the work I was doing at the time, it made sense. I moved between managing metadata and writing lengthy software requirements, so the big three-and-a-half walled hug from my giant cube friend was comforting. Understanding UDL from the Dark Side: Perceptions of the Marketplace

The Universal Design for Learning Implementation and Research Network (UDL-IRN) held its 2015 Summit recently at the Gulf Park campus of the University of Southern Mississippi. The Summit had an exceptionally engaging lineup of “UDL-Talks” and breakout sessions that shared insights and collaboration ideas regarding the current and future state of UDL in K20. At times, academic researchers get nervous about EdTech Vendors misrepresenting UDL in the marketplace. In an effort to understand how, where, and when a tornado might form, storm-chasing scientists take equipment such as Doppler radar out into tornado-prone areas, hoping that their analysis of weather conditions is accurate and that they will be able to track a tornado as it develops, then moves across the landscape. By gathering data about the weather conditions that exist just prior to the development of a tornado or a super-tornado, they hope to be able to develop more timely predictions and tornado warnings. Kentucky Valley Educational Consortium We are pleased to announce that Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative (KVEC), a non-profit educational support agency comprised of 19 LEAs that provide services to member district schools in Eastern Kentucky, has selected Knovation to support and guide its conversion to digital content. Beginning this month, KVEC will use the learning engagement solution, icurio, to foster modern, digital learning initiatives across multiple school districts.
